Child CustodyLegal Matters Regarding Your Child Custody Cases
There are two different types of Child Custody, legal custody and physical custody.
Legal custody is who has the right to make important decisions in a child’s life such as education and medical decisions. Many times the court would award both parents joint legal custody, so they can make important decisions about the child’s life together.
Physical custody is where the child resides, if a child resides half the time at one parent’s house and half the time and another parent’s house, then the parents share joint physical custody.
